Care Ministries provides:

General Counselling : We all, at various times need someone to come alongside with counsel and support that is both personal and confidential. There may be issues from the past that are plaguing us or confusion is reigning because of some kind of present issue.

"where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety" Prov 11:14

Pre-marriage and Marriage Counselling:"Marriage is honorable amoung all" Heb 11:3

All marriages will face times of difficulty. We provide btoh marriage counselling, teaching and enrichment programs. The enrichment program is recommended for all and runs for 6 weeks.

If you wish to be married by one of our licensed ministers:

1. Confirm with the church administration with the date you wish to be married (ph:42681588)

2. You will be required to complete a "Notice of Intended Marriage" frm that must be returned to our administration at least one month prior to the wedding

3. If you wish to use the church auditorium for your wedding, the administration will make the required booking for you.

4. Our church requires every couple to complete a 6 week pre-marriage course prior to the wedding day. This course covers topics such as family history, personalities, conflict resolution, romance and marriage, as well as how to combine all of this into a busy life.

Visitation : The Visitation team are ready and willing to visit those who are in need of support and pastoral care, whether they are at home or in hospital.

 ‘Cleansing Streams’ : is a 12 week intensive discipleship program which helps people discover and overcome the issues in their life that can be holding them back from experiencing the freedom to receive all that God has set for them. Christian Singles : Many people are living alone or are single parents. This is not a social group but deals with some of the unique issues that singles face. The groups meets every second Monday night at 7:30pm at the church building (Upstairs, Cnr Main Rd & Railway Pde, Thirroul)

Parenting Course : This course will be run once a year, (2010 date: Sat 13th March) by a qualified Barnardos employee. The Program is know as "Triple P" - Positive Parneting Program. It aims to take the stress out of parenting and make parenting easier by providing practical answers to everyday parenting concerns. The program relies on good communication and the use of positive attention as a way to encourage children to develope the skills they need to do well in life. Developed in Australia, Triple P is internationally acclaimed and respected. Over 30 years of evidence has proved the effectiveness of the program. For more information see www.families.nsw.gov.au

Addiction Support Group :

This weekly support group helps people with all sorts of life-controlling addictions. It also covers issues like living skills and boundaries. This fresh and dynamic group helps people that need to turn in a new direction in life. Come and join in – it will change your life. Whether you have an addiction or someone close to you does, you are very welcome. Everyone needs answers and support.

The 12 Step program is held weekly at South Coast City Church Thirroul – Cnr Lawrence Hargrave Drv & Railway Pde Thirroul (next to the train station). Monday mornings at 10:30am

Alcoholics Anonymous Group :

This is a community based system that is used throughout the world. It meets every Monday at 8pm in the church building - Upstairs, Cnr Main Rd & Railway Pde, Thirroul.
